Improving Access to Mental Health and Substance Use Care

While employers are making mental health a priority, there remain challenges when connecting employees to care and addressing the increasing healthcare costs for those with co-occuring mental health and medical conditions. Employees also face challenges in locating and accessing timely and effective mental health and substance use treatment. This led the Center for Workplace Mental Health and the American Psychiatric Association to join forces in developing Recommendations for Improving Access to Mental Health and Substance Use Care.
