At the American Psychiatric Association Foundation, we respect your privacy. We believe in safeguarding personal information and have created standards to ensure that donor privacy is protected. Your name, address and any other personal data you provide will be used only by the foundation to keep you informed of our activities including our grants, programs, awards, special events, funding needs, and opportunities to volunteer. If at any time you choose not to receive these communications, you may contact the foundation and we will gladly remove your name from our mailing list.
Donor Recognition
We may offer periodic recognition to thank our donors for their support. Forms of recognition might include publishing donor names on our website, in our annual report, donor newsletter, a thank you advertisement in Psychiatric News, signage, and at our special events.
Donors have the right to request that their donation be anonymous and that their name not be used in any of these venues.
Electronic Personal Records
Donor information is maintained in a secured database, and only authorized personnel have access to this information and only for appropriate foundation and association business purposes.
Mental Health Works Mailing Lists
APAF does not rent, sell, give-away or trade its Mental Health Works lists or any information contained on those lists. Subscriber information is used by APAF for customizing newsletters and event invitations by geography, industry and profession. If at any time you choose not to receive these communications, you may contact the Center for Workplace Mental Health, and we will gladly remove your name from our mailing list. Subscriber information will not be used by any entity outside of the Foundation.
